Just after 3:00 am on June 20, 2010, a 911 call was made reporting a burglary in progress at 40018 Jones Road near Independence, La. Responding Deputies arrived to find the suspect asleep in the victim’s vehicle. The burglar was awakened by the “alarming sound” of clicking handcuffs and taken into custody. Deputies found a gold colored jewelry box in this car that was stolen form another vehicle down the street.

On the evening of June 17, 2010, Livingston Parish Uniform Patrol Deputies, executing a harassing phone calls warrant, made a discovery of illegal drugs that led to much more serious charges. Nearly 7 lbs of marijuana, approximately 13 “hits” of LSD, a bottle of Ketamine, five dosage units of Adderol, several marijuana smoking pipes, and more than $7,000.00 cash were all discovered at the Watson area residence.

On the afternoon of June 15, 2010, Agents with the Tri-Parish Narcotics Task Force and members of the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team executed a search warrant at the address of 30932 North Café Line Road near Albany. One man was arrested on drug and weapons charges and more than $3,500.00 worth of illegal drugs were seized. A small child was also present in the home.
