Mary Beth Sallasi

Mary Beth Salassi is supervisor of the Tax Office and the Criminal Records Division. Her duties include supervision of ten deputies whose duties are the collection of current and prior year property taxes, bonds, fines, licenses, data entry and record keeping of all incident, offense, arrest, and accident reporting. Mary Beth, also, is the bookkeeper of the Tax Collector account, thereby responsible for processing, reporting, and distributing all revenue collected by that office.

She has been with the Sheriff’s Office since 1992, serving initially as secretary to our late Chief of Operations, Wayne Sanders. With fifteen years banking experience to her credentials, she was transferred to the Tax Office that she later became supervisor of in January 1998.

Mary Beth and husband, Michael, have two daughters, Mandy and Morgan. Both girls currently attend Southeastern University in Hammond. Mary Beth is actively involved at her church, Pine Grove Baptist. For hobbies, she likes to read, shop, and bake.
