- Health and Life insurance is provided for employees and dependents at no cost to the employee
|
- LPSO pays a portion of salary as a Retirement match on each employee. This goes into the employee's retirement account.
|
- Vacation is granted to each full-time employee at the following rate:
|
- One year of uninterrupted full-time employment - one week vacation
|
- Five years of uninterrupted full-time employment - two weeks vacation
|
- Fifteen or more years of uninterrupted full-time employment - three weeks vacation
|
- Vacation time is non-cumulative and must be taken within the fiscal year earned.
|
- Personal leave is granted to each full-time employee at the rate of ten (10) days per year. Personal leave is non-cumulative except for retirement purposes.

- Each full-time employee can participate in the Deferred Compensation Program based upon years of service with a match being made by the Office.
|
- Each full-time employee is granted Health Club Membership paid for by the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office as part of our training program
|
- Each full-time employee is provided uniforms and all equipment necessary to perform their duties.
